About Us

Olivos Bellaterra is a family business founded in 1970, when Don Honorato Montoya and Doña Irma Heredia decided to embark on the fascinating journey of cultivating Sevillana, Ascolana, and Manzanillo olives in the Bella Unión valley.

Bella Unión is one of the 13 districts that make up the province of Caravelí in the Arequipa region. Its main economic activity is agriculture, with approximately 1,500 hectares dedicated to olive cultivation, the vast majority being of the Sevillana variety.

Today, Olivos Bellaterra has 60 hectares exclusively dedicated to cultivating Sevillana and Ascolana olives, along with 25 hectares of new plantations of the Manzanillo variety.

The farm also features modern irrigation and production systems which, combined with the dry and warm climate of the Bella Unión valley, result in olives—available in various forms—and extra virgin olive oil of exceptional quality in terms of flavor, aroma, density, and shelf life. These products satisfy even the most demanding palates in both domestic and international markets, with olives exported to Chile and Brazil.

Today, the dream that Don Honorato and Doña Irma once began is a true reality: a cutting-edge family business built on hard work, dreams, and, above all, the great aspiration to become a benchmark in the production of Peruvian olives of unmatched quality.
